OUR MISSION DRIVE US

To equip pastors and churches to develop leaders and multiply disciples to advance the Kingdom of God in Texas.

SOUL CARE

Provide soul care for pastors and ministers who will produce healthy pastors & churches. In partnership with the Full Strength Network, pastors and ministers will have the opportunity to receive counseling and coaching on a one-to-one basis to increase their spiritual health, grow deeper relationships and increase leadership capacity.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Equip churches to develop leaders by equipping the church staff, board and leaders. Provide training to create a leadership community where leaders continue to grow and develop to do effective ministry.

MULTIPLYING DISCIPLES

Equip pastors and churches to make disciples who will will make disciples (multiply).  A cohort will be established for pastors interested in learning, growing, and collaborating to ensure healthy multiplication occurs in the state. Develop relationships with church planting networks and city movements in the state, identifying opportunities for collective impact and mutual resource sharing.

OUR VALUES KEEP US ALIGNED

We believe in being Biblically Grounded: Gospel-Center approach to ministry is vital.

We believe in being Mission Minded: We are called to make disciples who will make disciples (multiply).

We believe in being Historically Rooted: We are a Church of God movement people.

We believe in the Next Generation: We raise up and equip the next generation of leaders.

We believe in being Compassion Driven:  We love God and others.

OUR HISTORY

The Church of God movement appeared in the 1880s in the midst of the broader American Holiness Revival. The pioneers of the Church of God hoped to restore a more biblical understanding and practice of what it means to be the church. One of our early church songs says: “The Bible is our rule of faith and Christ alone is Lord.” This lyric still summarizes the core belief of Church of God people. We have not issued any official belief statement, and we have no formal creed. The following statements and videos reflect the heart of the Church of God.
